Perri Berner
Senior Psychotherapist
Perri Berner is a therapist who strives to provide a safe, supportive, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore and navigate life’s challenges while feeling seen and heard. She earned her graduate degree from NYU’s Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness program after transitioning from the corporate world, a change that informs her thoughtful and compassionate approach to therapy.
Perri has experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD and complex trauma, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, life transitions, and other significant life stressors. She acknowledges the courage it takes to seek support and the effort required to create lasting and meaningful change.
Perri values and emphasizes building a strong therapeutic alliance rooted in authenticity, understanding, and mutual respect. She works collaboratively with clients and tailors treatment to align with the unique needs and goals of the individual. She uses an integrative approach that incorporates psychodynamic principles, mindfulness, and cognitive-based interventions to help clients gain insight, find meaning, and develop practical skills and tools in a way that works for them.
Perri believes in providing treatment that considers the whole person, including lived experience, cultural identities, values, and belief systems, with the goal of facilitating outcomes that extend beyond symptom reduction toward deeper healing and personal growth.
