Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect from treatment?
We’ll typically meet once a week for 45-minute sessions. In our first few meetings, we’ll explore your history, clarify your goals, and get a sense of how we can best support you. It’s normal for therapy to feel harder before it feels easier—painful or long-avoided emotions may surface, and we’ll be with you through all of it. We encourage you to trust the process. You may come in for one thing and discover deeper layers along the way, but you are always in charge. We’ll guide our work but always follow your lead.
Do you take insurance? What are your fees?
At this time, we are an out-of-network practice and therefore do not take insurance, but you may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance provider. We encourage you to inquire with your insurance company to see what your out-of-network coverage for mental/behavioral health services is. We offer monthly superbills that can be used to submit for insurance reimbursement. We believe mental health services should be accessible to all, so we do offer sliding scale slots to meet your unique situation. We can discuss this in greater detail in our initial consultation.
How will we meet? What times are you available?
Life is busy! We strive to meet the needs of busy working professionals, so we offer early morning sessions as well as late evening sessions. We typically offer sessions between the hours of 8 am - 8 pm, and can be flexible to meet your schedule. We offer teletherapy to make therapy more accessible to busy professionals. We'll discuss your preferences and schedule in our initial consultation.
What is the length of treatment and how do we track progress?
Depending on what you are coming in for, the course of treatment can be brief or take time. An important, yet often unclear piece of therapy is how to track progress. We believe this should be a collaborative effort, so we will continuously monitor your growth and progress and check in with you to ensure you are getting what you want out of our time. If, at any time, you feel like you need to go in a different direction, we encourage you to bring this up with us.
